1.Glossary Exercise 20%
You must produce a hypertext node for a Media and Communications Glossary. More details will be provided in class.
Due Date : Friday April 8, 2005

2. Major Assignment - 50%
The major assignment is an online writing assignment aimed at uncovering your engagement with the critical aspects of the subject at a practical level.
Due Date : Monday 6 June 2005

Further details for both assignments will be outlined in class

3. Class participation/Reading Journal - 30%
As always, class participation is absolutely vital to your progress in this course. This means coming to class prepared (having done all set reading) and prepared to discuss ideas. Given the very practical nature of the subject, you must attend all tutorials. If you fail to attend for two or more consecutive tutorials, you will be asked to produce a doctor's certificate.

You can demonstrate your engagement with the subject through general discussion, initiation of class activities (ie: alerting us to new or interesting examples of electronic writing), participation in the class blog and by generally being there!Each week you must summarise one piece of set reading and write a 100-150 word summary in a reading journal. The journal will be handed up at the end of semester. Highlighting photocopies with a highlighting pen WILL NOT BE COUNTED
